The Life of DUANE WALTER ELLETT

Services for Duane W. Ellett, 64, of 506 WN Pleasant St., Ankeny, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Ankney.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Ellett, who died Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital following a heart attack, was known to thousands of Iowans for his "Floppy" show on WHO television.

He was born in Des Moines and had lived in Ankeny for 16 years.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and had attended Drake University.

Survivors include a son, Daniel of Ankeny; two daughters, Barbara Reed of Ankeny and Kathryn Cornwell of Des Moines; and four grandchildren.

Visitors may call until 9 p.m. today at Ankeny Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children''''s Habilitation Center Inc. in Johnston.
