The Life of FRED MASCARO
Fred Mascaro, 61, of 4750 N.E. 28th Court died of cancer Friday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Mascaro, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a welder at John Deere in Des Moines and was a member of United Auto Workers.
Survivors include his wife, Leona; two daughters, Dianna Gleason of Ankeny, and Deborah Baker of Des Moines; four brothers, Palmer, Robert and Ralph, all of Des Moines, and Anthony of El Cerrito, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m., and all day Monday at Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy Foundation Cancer Research Fund.
