Services for Clifford H. Samuels, 70, of 910 Douglas Ave., a retired electrician, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Arnold''s Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Samuels died of cancer Tuesday at the State Mental Health Institute at Clarinda after a nine-year illness. He moved to Des Moines from Redfield 60 years ago.
Formerly an electrician for Weston Lighting Co., he was a member of Highland Park United Presbyterian Church, Auburn Masonic Lodge, Des Moines Consistory and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine.
Surviving are his widow, Lillian; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Kieler, and a son, Clifford, Jr., both of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Clarence Duncan of New Cumberland, PA, and three grandchildren.
