The Life of THOMAS O HANNA

Thomas O. Hanna, 77, of 2802 Thirty-eighth St. died of arteriosclerosis Thursday at the Commonweath Care Center, 5608 SW Ninth St., following an illness of a year.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Westover Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Promise City, Mr. Hanna had lived in Des Moines since 1916.  He was the retired owner and operator of The Capital Sanitary Supply Co., Inc. and a member of the Adelphic Masonic Lodge, the Des Moines Consistory, the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and the Westminster United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, LaVon; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Witte of Des Moines; a brother Alvin of Henryetta, OK, and one grandchild.
