The Life of GARY LEE DAVIS
Gary L. Davis, 55, of 70 NW 46th Place died of cancer Wednesday at Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McLaren''s Fuenral Chapel, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born in Ottumwa and lived in Durant before moving to Des Moines in 1962. He retired from Bridgestone-Firestone, was a member of Highland Park Christian Chruch and had served in the Army Reserve for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; a son, Paul of Des Moines; two daughters, Donita Vander Linden of Winterset and Kristine King of Lucas; three sisters, Louise Fowler of Fort Worth, TX, Betty Lomas of Marion, and Jacque Telsrow of Walcott; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
