The Life of JAMES ANDREW WICKER

James A. Wicker, 53, of 3405 Linworth Lane, was dead on arrival at Mercy Hospital of a heart attack Saturday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, at Dunn''s Southwest Ninth Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Mr. Wicker was a native of Almena, Kan., and lived in Liberty Center before moving to Des Moiens 32 years ago. He was a control operator for Iowa Power and Light Co. He was a member of Pioneer Masonic Lodge, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 499 the Ascalon Chapter of Knights Templar 4 and the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; two sons, James B. and Gary I., of Des Moines; a brother, R.K. Wicker of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Janice Monk of Citrus Heights, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Ollie Wallace of Lacona, and nine grandchildren.
