The Life of CORA BISHOP
Cora Bishop, 89, of Altoona Manor Care Center in Altoona died of kidney and heart ailments there Saturday. The body will be cremated, and private burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Bishop was born in Veenendaal, the Netherlands, and had lived in Des Moines and Pella before moving to Altoona five years ago. She had worked for Second Avenue Poultry and King Pharmacy before retiring and was a member of Grant Park Christian Church. She enjoyed crocheting and bingo.
A daughter, Barbara Decker of Des Moines, survives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
