The Life of MARY LOU WEST
Mary Lou West, 66, of 2325 Reynolds Lane died of cancer Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. West was born in Hubbard and moved to Des Moines in 1946. She retired after 22 years as a registered nurse at Des Moines Health Center and formerly was a nurse at the Convalescent Home for Children. She was a member of St. John''s Lutheran Church and Broadlawns Alumni Association.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph; three daughters, Mary West and Becky Senecaut, both of Des Moines, and Jeanne Dahm of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Gary and Richard, both of Des Moines; and a sister, Anne Lennier, of Des Moines, Wash.; two brothers, Richard Gerlach of Iowa City and George Gerlach of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the John Stoddard Cancer Center.
