The Life of LAVERNE WESLEY COX
Services for Laverne W. Cox, 45, of 703 Jerlynn Ave., who died of pneumonia Thursday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. John''''s Lutheran Church, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Cox, a lifelong resident of Des Moines, was an engineer for Massey-Ferguson, Inc. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Auburn Masonic Lodge, the York Rite, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, and St. John''''s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Matthew and Joel, both of Des Moines; a daughter, Laurie Greco of Ankeny; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles W. Cox of Des Moines, and a brother, Melvin of Des Moines.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Hamilton''''s Funeral Home.
