The Life of MARY ALICE JONES
Mary Alice Jones, 60, of 302 Ninth St., NW, Ankeny, died of cancer Friday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady''s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born in Norway, IA., and lived in Ankeny 28 years, spending the last 10 years as a part-time resident of both Ankeny and San Diego. She was a homemaker and member of American Contract Bridge Club and also San Raphael Catholic Church in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
Survivors include her husband, Doanld; three daughters, Lidna O''Donnell of Ankeny, Carolyn Carr of Peroria, IL, and Anita Landess of San Diego; two brothers, Theodell Pickart and David Pickart, both of Norway; three sisters, Letha Etscheidt of Blairstown, Leota Garwood of Cedar Rapids, and Kathleen Shimek of Pompano Beach, FL; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church in Ankeny, where a Scritpure Service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady''s Immaculate Heart Church. Arrangements are being handled by Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
