The Life of CARY CASHES SHEETS
Services for Cary C. Sheets, 78, of 2112 Morton Ave., will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Sheets died of a heart ailment Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
A native of Lebanon, IN, Mr. Sheets lived in Elma before moving to Des Moines 50 years ago. He was a retired truck driver and member of the Eastgate Masonic Lodge, the Eastgate Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Columbian Odd Fellows Lodge, Rebekah Lodge 181, the Des Moines Consistory, Scottish Rite Temple, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and Capitol Hill Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia; a daughter, Margaret Aschan of Des Moines; four sons, Griffith of Warrensburg, MO., Marvin of Colfax, Donald of DeSoto and Duane of Carlisle; a stepson, Paul Wyckoff of Moss Beach, CA; a sister, Sarah Heater of Des Moines; a brother, Clarence of Quitman, TX; 26 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Capitol Hill Christian Church.
