The Life of SAM J KNIGHT
Sam Knight, 39, of 2247 Logan Ave., died of cancer Saturday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Knight, a painter, was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church and Norwoodville Volunteer Fire Department.
Among survivors are his wife, Tina; three daughters, Samantha Knight, Sara Knight and Sarina Knight, all of Des Moines; a step-daughter, Carla Gaither of Oklawaha, FL; seven brothers, Doug of Houston, Clair of Davenport, Danny of Colorado Springs, CO, Monty of Hartford and Dave, Larry and Mike all of Des Moines; two sisters, Linda Sholley and Glenda Clausi, both of Des Moines; and three step-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 5 to7 p.m. today at the funeral home. memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice and Mercy Cancer Center. The family will greet firends after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
