The Life of ERMA ARLENE MORGAN

Erma Morgan, 66, of the 3400 block of Southeast Third St. died of sepsis Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church, of which she was a member.  Cremation will follow services.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Algona and had lived in Des Moines many years.  She was a retired emergency room nurse with Broadlawns Medical Center and a member of AARP.  She enjoyed traveling, crocheting afghans and baking.

She is survived by a son, Jeff of Des Moines; two daughters, Diane Cox of Des Moines and Brenda Simpson of Denver, CO; two brothers, Paul McVeigh of Yuma, AZ and Phil McVeigh of Tekamah, NE; two sisters, Shirley Brown of Stover, MO and Mary Simmons of Camdenton, MO; and five grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Southtown Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
