The Life of MARGARET H VAN GILDER

Margaret VanGilder, 85, of Granger died of a heart ailment Monday at Granger Manor Care Center, where she was a resident for the past four years.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Assumption Catholic Church in Granger, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mrs. VanGilder ws born in Omaha, and lived in the Des Moiens area most of her life.  She retired from the shipping and mailing department at Waltz Studios in Des Moines and was a member of All Saints Parish.

Surviving are her husband, Charles; two daughters, Peggy McClemons of Oswego, NY, and Audrey Perry of Los Lomas, NM; two brothers, Roy Davis of Des Moines, and Jack Davis of Florence, OR; three sisters, Catherine VanGilder of Ankeny, Lora Beaumont of Blair, NB, and Marion Teater of Granger; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-granchidlren.

The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the care center.
