The Life of ERNEST FLETCHER
Ernest "Fletch" Fletcher, Jr., 68, of 7400 Horton Ave., Urbandale, died of a heart ailment Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Urbandale, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Fletcher, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a retired supervisor at Northwestern Bell, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son, Gary of Boise, ID; two daughters, Kathy Harridge of Des Moines and Becky Cline of Helena, MT; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
