The Life of RALPH G TURK

Ralph G. Turk, 71, of the 400 block of Southeast Delaware Avenue, Ankeny, died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.  Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Grandview Park Baptist Church, of which he was a member.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The Rev. Turk was born in Yale, MI, and had lived in Calfornia, Colorado, Illinois and Minesota before moving to Ankeny in 1988.  He was a professor at Faith Baptist Bible College and the Theological Seminary in Ankeny and had been a pastor at Saylorville Baptist Church and in Illinois and Minnesota.  He also had taught at Christian Heritage College in El Cajon, CA and at Denver Baptist Seminary.  He was a former member of the State Board of General Association of Regular Baptist Churches and enjoyed preaching, teaching and writing.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; a daughter, Sheryl LaPierre of El Cajon; a son, Vincent of Chanhassen, MN; his mother, Marian Turk of Michigan; a sister, Alice Turk of Deckerville, MI; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Bible Seminary.  Hamilton''s Near Highland memory Gardens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
