The Life of GEORGE MARTIN LYNCH
George Martin Lynch, 83, of the 2500 block of East Broadway Avenue died of complications of a stroke Saturday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at All Saints Parish, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetry.
Mr. Lynch was born in Guthrie County and had lived in Des Moines 48 years. He was a retired truck driver with Casey''''s General Stores, a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl; four sons, David of Des Moines, George of Santa Anna, CA, John of Simi Valley, CA and Ron of Alburquerque, NM; a daughter, Connie Lynch-Jamison of Des Moines; a sister, Betty Farrington of Galena, MO; a brother, John of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Hamilton''''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
