The Life of BETTY L ROMP
Betty L Romp, 76, of the 2000 block of Windover Drive in Ankeny, died of a heart ailment Firday at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas. Services will be at noon Thursday at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens. Burial weill be at Highland memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Romp lived in Des Moines all of her life. She was a omemaker. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; a daughter, Julie Lewis of Sioux Rapids; a son, John of West Des Moines; two sisters, Ruth Carle of West Des Moines and Mary Smith of Albia; three brother, Bill Stuchel of Knoxville and Gary Stuchel and Jim Stuchel, both of Albia; a sister Evelyn Whitlock of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Des Moines chapter of the Susan Komen Cancer Foundation.
