The Life of NIHLA E POFFENBERGER
Nihla E. Poffenberger, 81, of Colorado Springs, CO, died of pneumonia Wednesday at Memorial Hospital there. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery here.
Mrs. Poffenberger was born in Pierre, SD and had lived in Des Moines most of her life before moving to Colorado Springs in 1989. She was a homemaker, loved to crochet and collected teddy bears.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Wachter of Florissant, CO; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association.
