The Life of CLYDE MARTIN POFFENBERGER

Clyde Martin Poffenberger, 70, of 1100 Woodland Park Drive, West Des Moines, died of a heart attack Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Poffenberger was born in Minburn and had lived in Des Moines for 41 years.  He retired in 1981 as vice president and treasurer for Moehl Millwork Inc. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and he was a Navy Veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Nihla E.; a daughter, Susan Linnette Poffenberger-Wachter of Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers, Harry of Sarasota, FL, and Verle of Eden Prairie, MN; three sisters, Darlene Howlett, Velma Kauffman and JoAnn Hoover, all of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home.
