The Life of DONALD J WOLFE
Donald (Don) Wolfe, 82, passed away Monday, October 4, 2004 at Trinity Center at Luther Park. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 8 at Hamilton''s Funeral Home on Lyon Street, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Don was born January 20, 1922 in Polk County, Iowa. He was a WWII Army veteran, serving with the Merrills Marauders, and a member of the VFW. Don retired as a truck driver from Rock Island Transit.
He is survived by his sons, Warren (Marilyn) Wolfe, of Gendale, AZ and Craig Wolfe of Ankeny; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, LaVaun Smeltzer of West Des Moines; three nephews; and three nieces. Don was preceded in death by his paretns, Jake and Goldie (Clark) Wolfe and his sister, Hope Graham.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
