The Life of ALICE ABERTA SHERWOOD
Alice Sherwood, 88, of Dallas center died of a heart ailment Thursday at Spurgeon Manor there. Services will be at noon Monday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery here.
Mrs. Sherwood was born in Nichols and had lived in Des Moines before moving to Dallas Center five months ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Ankeny United Methodist Church. She enjoyed church activities.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane Eastman of Ankeny; a son, John of Humeston; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Damon.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday morning, where the family will be present an hour prior to the time of services.
