The Life of JOSEPH PAUL HANS
Joseph Paul Hans, 27, of 3400 Second Ave. drowned Tuesday in a boating accident on Saylorville Lake. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mels Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hans was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was an architecture student at the University of Minnesota. He served in the US Marine Corps and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
Survivors include his parents, Edward J & Theda Hans of Des Moines; and two sisters, Rayanne Hans of Des Moines and Catherine Olson of Prole.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today.
