The Life of EVELYN N ROE
Evelyn Roe, 76, of the 200 block of Northwest Georgetown Blvd., Ankeny, died from complications of diabetes Saturday at Sunnyview Care Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ankeny Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Roe was born in Allerton and had lived in Humeston and Des Moines before moving to Ankeny. She was a homemaker and had worked at Des Moines Area Community College and Des Moines public school cafeterias. She enjoyed traveling and fishing.
Surviving are her husband, Melvin; two sons, Melvin, Jr. of Des Moines and Raymond of w\West Des Moines; a daughter, Judi Rice of Ankeny; two sister, Lois Baker of Clairmont, CA, and Wanda Roe of Ormond Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friend from 6 to 8 p.m Tuesday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or Hospice of Central Iowa.
