The Life of IRVA A SULLIVAN

Irva A Sullivan, 56, of Montezuma died of cancer Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Sullivan spent most of her life in Des Moines before moving to Montezuma nine years ago. She was a homemaker and had worked in food-service management in both the Des Moines and Montezuma school districts. She was a member of Easton Place United Methodist Church, PTA, Grandview Little League Women''s Auxiliary and Food Service Workers Union in Des Moines. She also had been a Cub Scout den mother. She is survived by her husband, Donald of Montezuma; two sons, James of Runnells and Edwin of Ankeny; a daughter, Susan Eaton of West Des Moines; her mother, Eva Slater of El Mirage, CA; a brother, James Slater of Mira Loma, CA; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the famly will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
