The Life of HAROLD DAVID COLLINS
Harold D. Collins, 49, of the 500 block of East 24th St. died of a heart ailment Tuesday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Collins had lived in Des Moines all his life. He worked for the state Public Works Department and was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his four daughters, Ashley Collins, Heather Collins, and Wendi Collins, all of Des Moines and Nichole Curry of Altoona; two sons, Dustin of Norwalk and Ryan of Des Moines; his father and step-mother, Harold Jr. and AltaDell Collins; and a brother, Richard, all of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.
His companion was Kim Johnson of Des Moines.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
