The Life of JAMES MONROE DISHON

James M "Jim" Dishon, 86, died Saturday March 20, 2004 at Parkridge Nursing Home. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at Hamilton''s Funeral Home on Lyon Street. Jim was born in Jasper County, Iowa and graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines. He served in the US Army during WWII and retired from John Deere. Jim enjoyed photography, hunting and cleaning up liter. He is survived by four sisters, Anna Norris of Des Moines, Mazie Rogers of Graettinger, Ruby Peek of Des Moines and Mary Evans of Altoona. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Parl; three sisters, Helen, Edna and Lena; and two brothers, Earl and Edward. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to his family.
