The Life of CLIFFORD JOSEPH WALSH

Clifford Joseph Walsh passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at home of colon cancer.  Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2005 at St. Mary of Nazareth Catholic Church.

Cliff was born in Des Moines, Iowa and lived in Des Moines, then in Johnston for the past 35 years.  He was a member and founding father of St. Mary''s of Nazareth Catholic Church.

Since 1970, he was owner and President of Walsh Equipment, Inc.  Cliff was a past member of Hyperion Country Club, Foxtrot Flying Club, the American Legion and the Cambio Club.  He was also a proud member of Friends of Bill W. and served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Victoria (John) Long of Des Moines, Kimberly Walsh of Denver, CO, and Michelle Walsh of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, Shelbie (Chad) Barrett of Grimes, Brandon Long of Kansas City, MO, and Melissa Long of Grimes; three great-grandchildren, Kailyn Schafer, Beau and Colton Barrett, all of Grimes; five  step-sons, Michael (Lourie), Steve, Patrick and Daniel (Sheri), all of Des Moines, and Timothy of Davenport; mother-in-law, Helen Quick of Des Moines; several extended family members; and many wonderful friends.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at the church, with a Rosary at 7 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
