The Life of GLADYS MAY MAFFETT
Gladys M Maffett, 91, of Calvin Community, 4210 Hickman Rd. died of complications of a stroke Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Maffett was born in Warwickshire, England, and had lived most of her life in Boone before movingt to Arizona and later Des Moines in 1990. She was a former nurse and had also taught dance in Madrid and Slater. Her memberships include Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Women''s Club, American Legion Auxiliary and Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by a son, Donald of Urbandale, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
