The Life of SARA CAROLINE MCGOVERN

Services for Mrs. Frank (Sara) McGovern, 58, of Pomona, CA, formerly of Johnston, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton Funeral Home here.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. McGovern died of cancer Monday in a Los Angeles hospital after a short illness.  She was born and reared in the Des Moines area.  Both she and her husband worked from the Johnston Consolidated School before moving to Pomona three years ago.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Jesse of Pomona, Marion of Oceanside, CA, and Tom of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Erma Woody of El Monte, CA; two brothers, Vern Maxwell of Knoxville and George Maxwell of Des Moines; and sister, Mrs. Mary Brockway of Des Moines.
