The Life of DONALD W GODWIN Sr.
Donald W. Godwin, Sr., 73, of 4275 NE 26th St., died of a heart attack Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Godwin, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a retired inspector at Firestone and was a member of the United Rubber Workers Union.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; four sons, Dennis and John of Des Moines, Donald Jr. of Ankeny, and James of Sheridan, AK; a daughter, Loretta McCabe of Ankey; three sisters, Mildred Beltrame and Dorothy Hammel both of Des Moines, and Edna Nisser of Independence, MO; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
