The Life of JOHN ALEXANDER CAMPBELL JR
John Alexander Campbell, Jr. 67, of 407 Fifth St. NW, Mitchellville, died of a heart ailment Monday at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John''s Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Campbell was born in Des Moines and lived in Mitchellville 35 years. He was a retired supervisor with Firestone and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jo; a son, John III of Toledo, OH; three daughters, Veva Campbell and Tina Campbell, both of Des Moines, and Barbara Campbell of Mitchellville; three brothers, James and Richard, both of Des Moines and Joseph of Bondurant; and eight grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
