The Life of PEARL EVA RICE
Pearl E. Rice, 94, of Urbandale Health Care Center, 4614 NW 84th St., died of cancer Saturday at home. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Rice was born in Bedford, MI and also lived in Indiana and Illinois before moving to Des Moines more that 25 years ago. She retired as a secretary for American Manganese Steel Co.
Surviving are a daughter, Marilyn Gerstenkorn of Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Julia Smith of Elkton, MD; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Westover Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
