The Life of VELMA LOUISE SWIM
Services for V. Louise Swim, 62, of 1828 E 33rd St., who died of cancer Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''''s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Swim was born in Lucas County and lived in Des Moiens for 40 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baldwin Patterson Legion Post 274 and United Ostomy Association.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Jr.; two daughters, Connie Barnes and Debra Swim, both of Des Moines; three sisters, Mable Short, Mary Ponx and Betty Ponx, all of Des Moines; and two brothers, Jerry Starkey of South Dakota and Howard Starkey of Oto.
