The Life of WILBUR J GOODER

Wilbur J. "Bill" Gooder, 75, of 725 Wisconsin Ave. died of a heart ailment Sunday at Des Moines General Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Gooder was born in Osage and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He retired as an industrial engineer and photographer for Pirelli Armstrong Rubber and was an Air Force veteran. He had been a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Adelphic Order of the Eastern Star, East High Alumni Association, Pioneer Masonic Lodge, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. His wife, Betty, survives. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa State University, Wesley United Methodist Church or East High Alumni Association.
