The Life of EDNA LOUISE TRICKEY
Louise Trickey, 72, of the 900 block of Northeast 51st Avenue died of a heart ailment Tuesday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Trickey had lived in Des Moines all her life. She was a homemaker, a retired bookkeeper with Cope Distributing and a member of Grandview Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer with Luther Park Health Care Center and a former Cub Scout den mother. She enjoyed music and playing the organ.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, James of Rapid City, SD, and Steven of Fort Myers, FL; her mother, Marhta Howell of Des Moines; her stepfather, Allan Howell of Kitchener, Ontario; a sister, Anna Riggs of Escondido, CA; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
