The Life of RICHARD SIGURTE HENNESSEY
Services for Richard S. Hennessey, 60, of 3914 Fourteenth St., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Highland Park Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hennessey died Wednesday of pneumonia at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.
Born in Hector, MN., Mr. Hennessey lived in Harrisonville, MO, before moving to Des Moines 36 years ago. He was employed by Fair-Play Scoreboard Co. He was a World War II Veteran and a member of Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Evelyn Jean Hennessey; three brothers, Donald of Bondurant, Glenn of Council Bluffs, and Dewey of Brownton, MN; a stepson, Wayne Whitecotton of Grand Island, NE; a sister, Jennie Hamblin of Glencoe, MN; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
