The Life of MAE ROSE EAST

Mae Rose East, 93, of Prairie City died of pneumonia Saturday at Des Moines General Hospital. No services are planned. The body was donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. She was born in Bellevue, Kan., and lived in Des Moines for 50 years before moving to Prairie City five years ago. She had been a homemaker and a school teacher in Beatrice. She was a charter member of Glen Echo Christian Church and was a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Tarr of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. Westover Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
