The Life of DONALD K COOK

Donald Cook, 48, of 219 Fourth St., died of emphysema Saturday at Broadlawns Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Cook was born in Amarillo, Texas, and had lived in Des Moines since 1970. He worked at Babe''s restaurant and the Hotel Fort Des Moines, and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his mother, Marvel Cook of Des Moines; a brother, Bobby Dishman of Longview, Texas; and a sister, Elaine Dishman of Des Moines. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
