The Life of JOHN G HACKETT
John G. Hackett, 38, of the 2900 block of Indianapolis Avenue died of a liver ailment Friday at Mercy Hospice-Johnston. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hackett had lived in Des Moines all his life. He was a retired construction worker for Weitz Construction. He was a member of the motocycle group ABATE and Laborers Local 177. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davison motorcycle, hunting and fishing.
His parents, Mary and Gene Hackett of Des Moines, survive.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice-Johnston.
