The Life of ARTHUR V JOHNSON
Arthur V. Johnson, 92, of Luther Park Care Center, 1555 Hull Ave. died of a heart ailment there Saturday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Chicago, Mr. Johnson lived in Des Moines most of his life and belonged to Capitol Hill Christian Church. He was a cabinet maker with Steel Works Co. for 35 years and retired at the age of 88.
He is survived by his wife, Mary I.; two daughters, Majetta Stanton of Minburn and Margaret King of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Center at Luther Park Care Center.
