The Life of DONALD E TAYLOR
Donald E. "Moose" Taylor, 72, of the 700 block of Northeast 51st Avenue died of cancer Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was retired from Firestone, where he had been a tire builder. He was an Army veteran. He enjoyed small engine repair, flying model airplanes and spending summers in Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; two sons, Jim of Waukee and Rob of Altoona; two daughters, Cindy Taylor of Minot, ND, and Susan Taylor of Des Moines; a brother, Thomas of Des Moines; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
