The Life of RICHARD OLAF QUICK

Richard Olaf Quick, 82, of 928 S.E.Fourth St., Ankeny, died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Altoona Health Care Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Saylorville Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Quick was born in Ankeny and had lived in Slater before returning to Ankeny in 1977. He was a retired farmer, an Army veteran fo World War II and a member of Farm Bureau. A previous obituary should have stated that surviving are his wife, Lorene; a daughter, Charlotte Sanger, and a son, Stan, both of Ankeny; two brothers, Arvid of Ankeny and Harvey of Wisconsin; four sisters, Ellen Ober and Lilly Rittgers, both of Ankeny, Anna Quick of Des Moines and Ruth Bathel of Perry; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to his church. Arrangements are being handled by Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
