The Life of KATHRYN HAVEL BRUMBAUGH

Funeral services for Kathryn R. Havel Brumbaugh, 78, of 3216 E. Forty-first St., who was dead on arrival Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of a heart attack, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Grandview Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Mrs. Brumbaugh was born in Menno, SD, and lived in Des Moines 24 years. She also lived in Winner, SD. She had worked as a housekeeper at Drake University before her retirement, and also had worked at the YWCA and Iowa Lutheran Hospital. She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Havel of Bondurant and George Havel of Sioux Falls, SD; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Williamson of Des Moines; five brothers, John Koenig, ed Koenig and Bill Koenig, all of Winer, SD and Coon Koenig and Ray Koenig, both of Washington State; three sisters, Christina Wood, edith Percy and Sarah Fusch, all of Winner, SD; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggest any memorial contributions be made to the Heart Fund.
