The Life of HAROLD R BECKETT

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home for Harold R. Beckett, 46, of 1437 Lyon St. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.

Mr. Beckett died of a gunshot wound Thursday at home. Polk County Medical Examiner Dr. R.C. Wooters ruled the death a suicide.

Mr. Beckett, a pressman, was a lifelong Des Moines resident. He was a member of the Machinists Union, Parents Without Partners and Central Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, Douglas, Michael and Brenton, all of Des Moines; two brothers, Eldon and Kenneth, both of Des Moines; a sister, Irma Hindman of Earlham, and a grandchild.

Friends may call until service time Monday at the funeral home.
