The Life of JACK LEE WONDERS
Jack Wonders, 55, of the 2300 block of Lyon Street died of cancer Friday at home. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Wonders was born in Newton and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired printer with the federal government and most recently was a mechanic with Thorson Mfg. He was a Navy veteran and enjoyed playing the guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; a daughter, Donna Wonders, three sons, Daniel, Derek and Dillon, and a brother, Mike, all of Des Moines.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
