The Life of STANLEY W MYDLAND

Stanley Mydland, 64, of the 4400 block of 72nd Street, Urbandale, died of complications of leukemia Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.  Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Zion Luthern Church, of which he was a member.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Mydland was born in Larchwood and had lived in Sioux Falls, SD, before moving to the Des Moines area over 25 years ago.  He was a retired sales representative with XPDEX, formerly Leslie Paper, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Sons of Norway and Amateur Trap Shooting Association.

Among survivors are his wife, Barbara; a son, Jason of Birmingham, AL; a brother, Dale of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Mabel Halstenson of Inwood and Lilly Mydland of Sioux Falls; and two grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to his church or Hospice of Central Iowa.
