The Life of DELAIN W FARRELL

DeLain W. Farrell, 72, of 2945 Lyon St. died of cancer Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Simpson United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Farrell, a lifelong Des Moines resident, retired as a foreman for Iowa Power and Light C. and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Irene; three daughters, Janet Bainter of Georgia and Valerie Terrill and Karen Farrell, both of Des Moines, two step-daughters, Marilyn Daniels of New Jersey and Patricia Harvey of Des Moines; two sons, Michael of West Des Moines and Kenneth of DeSoto; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home.  Memorial Contributions may be made to his church.
