The Life of SHERWOOD E LENGEMAN
Sherwood E. "Woody" Lengeman, 66, of the 3900 block of 15th Street died of a heart ailment Monday at Hospice Kavanagh House. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Lengeman was born in Manilla, IA, and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He had worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., before retiring and was a Navy Veteran. He was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathi Scott of Des Moines; two sisters, Lei Lani Rhiner of West Des Moines and Jerilynn Corbin of Des Moines; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Anne.
