The Life of JANICE KAY COX
Janice Kay Cox, 59, of the 1800 block of Sixth Avenue died of cancer Wednesday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 11 am Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox had lived in Des Moines all her life. She was a retired bartender with Midway Lounge.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberley Irvin and Tereasa Gonzales, a son, Kelly, a brother, Edward Robertson, and a sister, Nancy Kling, all of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Janice Kay Cox Memorial Fund.
